Honestly
I am surprised that I wasn’t shaking. Giving speeches is something that I hate
doing because I get really nervous in front of people and freeze; just
completely forget everything I was supposed to say. I am not a shy person, but
standing by myself in front of people is one of my biggest fears.
The
things that I noticed that caught my eye were how much I move, like rock back
and forth. I also tend to move my hands a lot and not have control over that.
When I was giving my speech I didn’t think that I was doing it at all, but
after watching it, it really annoyed me. I also wasn’t comfortable when I was
up there, I didn’t really think about what I was wearing to class that day, but
standing up there I kind of looked like a bum, which made me self-conscious too.
Other then that, just practicing more would help and make me more confident in
front of everyone.
Things
that I did well on were probably my pictures; I think they really captured who I
am and where I want to go in life. I really do things for others that something
I love doing and my pictures showed all of my friends and family, how important
they are to me. I also did well on eye contact, I didn’t look at the board too
often and I didn’t read off of my notecards, I may not know exactly what I want
to say but I didn’t read straight from anything, which I thought was a good
thing.
